MateCircle ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it under UK GDPR.

Data we collect

• Account details: name, email, profile information you provide.
• Membership and payment records via our payment processor (Stripe). We never store card numbers.
• Activity in circles, events, journal entries and coach chats — visible only to you unless you share.
• Technical data: IP address, device and browser info for security and analytics.

How we use it

• To provide the service (membership, circles, events, coaching).
• To send transactional email (renewals, event reminders, safeguarding notices).
• To improve the platform and prevent abuse.

Sharing

We share data only with processors we rely on (hosting, payment, email) and never sell personal data. Aggregated, anonymised impact metrics may be shared publicly.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, export or deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@matecircle.uk.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active plus 24 months for legal and safeguarding purposes.
